Greetings from

Greensburg, Kansas

Who Would Believe?

With a good map to lead the way, we had the thrill of discovering the petroglyphs in Kiowa County. These petroglyphs record the story of the meteor falling from the sky and going into the earth. One of the Indians is holding a piece of the meteorite.
It is believed that this very rare meteorite fell 2000 years ago was the largest of that classification to be found anywhere. The hash marks on the left side are believed to be either numbers of buffalo hunts or celebrations.
